DescriptionThis work is inspired by the tallit, the striped shawl men wear for prayers. The Hebrew inscription is from the “Havdala” that marks the end of the Sabbath: “The One who distinguishes between sacred and profane”. The inscription deliberately faces inwards towards the wearer, keeping the text private.
Provenance2018, sold by the artist to the MFA. (Accession Date: September 26, 2018)
