DescriptionThe spoon has a fig-shaped bowl and a tapering hexagonal stem. The finial, resting upon a hexagonal baluster support, is in the shape of a lion sejant. The bowl and stem of the spoon are forged from a single piece. Traces of gilding remain on the finial. The bowl has been reworked, and appears to have been struck with a forged punch.
