DescriptionWatch with chatelaine. Case: repousse work depicting Diogenes at his barrel; inside printed label of maker: "Thomas Hayton/watch maker at Ye/ Golden Eagle in Lee Street/in Red Lyon Square/London". Probably firm of F. Haton, recorded London 1760. Chatelaine: metal cast and decorated with putti, as mermaids; French; with attachments of a key and a serpentine-rock charm with gilt mounts and enameled band inscribed: EN AMOUR TOUT PLAIST.
