Description"Ivriah" is the Hebrew word for "Jewess". It is the name of a Jewish women's organisation founded in 1926 by the Women Division by the Jewish Education Society. The previous year a survey had revealed that most Jewish children did not attend religious schools.

Ivriah's slogan, "the Jewish mothers of today for the Jewish mothers of tomorrow", conveyed the importance of children's religious education for the Jewish future- the main goal of this organisation.
