DescriptionAn octagonal salver of red amber; two raised medallions of ivory in the center, representing head of Christ and of Virgin; around rim are small, carved ivory medallions representing the four Evangelists and objects connected with the Crucifixion; the whole surface of the amber is engraved with scrolls and flowers.
ProvenanceAccording to information provided by the donor, acquired from a church near Lake Maggiore, Italy.
