NOTE: Georges Giacometti attested on June 30, 1923 that he provided an expertise for the sculpture in November, 1917 when it belonged to Mlle. Brache. He examined it again in 1923 at the request of Bacri Frères, who had acquired it after the posthumous sale of her collection.
