DescriptionDeep red caftan made of traditional Indian (Gujarati) silk chiffon, tie-dyed with allover pattern of elephants and floral motifs within a grid, heavily embellished with gold chainstitch embroidery and gold sequins. Front decorated with patchwork of pieced red and pink silk brocades and plain weaves. Hook and eye closures down center front. Red and gold twisted belt at natural waist. Lined in red silk chiffon with two interior labels: "Made in England/For/Giorgio Beverly Hills" and "thea porter/couture."
