DescriptionThe square waiter rests on four scrolled feet and has a molded, flared rim with shaped corners. The body and rim are engraved with strapwork, scrolls and flowers. The waiter is formed sheet with an applied, cast rim and cast feet.
Marks On underside, leopard's head crowned; date letter T; maker's mark PL (Grimwade 2203); lion passant.
InscriptionsARMORIALS: engraved in center, the arms of Sir Theodore Janssen (b. ca. 1658 -d. 1748), and his wife, WIlliamsa, daughter of Sir Robert Henley, of the Grange, Hampshire. Engraved in four corners, the crest of Janssen.
