DescriptionThe two teapots are identical in form; one is slightly smaller than the other. The elliptical body is raised from thin seamed sheet, with curved tapering sides and panels of vertical fluting. The center panel of each side is engraved with bright-cut floral sprays. The base is inset. The scrolled handle is wood, mounted on cylidnrical sockets. The long curved spout is formed of sheet and seamed. The elliptical domed lid has a band of bright-cut around the rim and is surmounted by a wooden baluster finial. A plate has been aplied to the hinge to strengthen the cover. Both pieces have extensive surface wear.
