DescriptionThe circular salver rests on four scrolled feet surmounded by the heads of a Chinese, an African, a Turk and a Hungarian. Between the heads, the rim is modeled with foliage: tea, sugar, cane, coffee and peppers. The heavy rim is cast in sections, and each head is inset. The center of the salver, formed from sheet, is soldered onto the cast border and has been distorted and discolored through repair. The center of the salver is engraved with a flowing symmetrical medallion incorporating leaves of the plants on the broder and enclosing a coat of arms.
