DescriptionThe oval basket has flaring sides and rests on a low foot formed of seamed sheet and pierced with a vertical pattern. The rim is finished with twisted wire. The body of the basket, which is raised from sheet, is chased around the base with two sheaves of wheat. The sides are chased with a pattern of alternating rosettes and urns connected by drapery swags and pierced with panels containing a geometric pattern of rectangles and circles and scrolling foliage. A cast band of foliage and beads is applied to the rim. The swing handle is cast and pierced with ribbons and scrolls.
