DescriptionObv: Columns and portico with a view of New York beyond, between the columns at the top a bust of Robert Fulton within a wreath, ROBERT FULTON / 1785 1815 below. Seated in front of the colums are three allegorical figures holding emblems of navigation and commerce, signed at the base: E FUCHS, with FIRST USE OF STEAM IN NAVIGATION / ON THE HUDSON RIVER / 1807 in the exergue.
