DescriptionCover for lady's toilet table with cutwork and needle lace.
Five strips of linen ornamented with scrolls bearing flowers and fruit. The stems are worked with gold and silver thread in raised cable and plaited braid stitch, the flowers, fruit and foliage in tent stitch with colored silks (pink, yellow, orange, green and blue). Between the strips of linen are bands of reticella and reticella points edge the cover.
