Provenance1916, exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; acquired shortly thereafter by Horatio Greenough Curtis (1844-1922, Boston, MA) (nephew of sculptor Horatio Greenough); 1919, lent by Mr. Curtis to the MFA for six months; 1921, lent by Mr. Curtis to the MFA; 1922, inherited by Curtis's widow, Mr. Horatio Greenough Curtis, Boston, Massachusetts and continued loan to the MFA; 1924, give to the MFA by Mrs. Curtis (Accession Date: April 3, 1924)
