DescriptionCarnelian. Oval intaglio with flat front and back; wall tapering inward. Bust of a woman from ¾ back and head in profile. She wears a chiton and a sakkos, from which slip a few strands of hair along her forehead and nape. Fine carving with careful modeling of the drapery but very little on the face. Small chip missing at the top.
