DescriptionWoman's domestic semi-formal coat (waitao) in pink twill-weave silk with design of cranes, flowers, bats and clouds hand-painted in red, blue, white, green, brown and yellow gouache; trimmed with reddish-orange silk satin with tiny white braid and a dark blue satin with gilt paper strip discontinuous supplementary patterning wefts; center front closing with four gold buttons and silk cord loops; lined with green plain-weave silk.
