ProvenanceBy 1865-1870, purchased in Baghdad by Thomas Kerr Lynch (b. 1818 – d. 1891), Baghdad and London [see note 1]; 1891, by descent within the family; 1924, sold by the Lynch family, through Ibrahim Élias (J. E.) Géjou, Paris, to Feuardent Frères, Paris; 1926, sold by Feuardent Frères to the MFA for $25,158.75. (Accession Date: December 2, 1926)
