Description(a) Alabaster; inscribed; (b) Shoulder decoration of gold filigree work with remains of inlay; neck of vase of silver overlaid with gold decoration and with woven gold wire pendants bearing carnelian, magnetite, and amazonite drops.
ProvenanceFrom Nuri: pyramid 8 (tomb of Aspelta). 1916: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
