DescriptionThis amulet represents the protective deity Pataikos. The god is pictured as a round-bellied, nude dwarf holding a knife in each hand. On his head is a scarab and on each shoulder is a uraeus. A crocodile beneath his feet is now badly damaged. On the reverse is an image of the goddess Isis, with Bastet and the infant Horus on either side. Pataikos is closely related to the cippus of "Horus on the Crocodile".
