DescriptionPrinted by Becquet, Paris; published in Le Caricature, Nov. 8, 1832, based on an idea suggested by the publisher, Charles Philipon.

The Republican publisher Philipon, often imprisoned for his attacks on the monarchy, commissioned the Romantic landscape artist Huet to carry out his ironic definition of total amnesty: a cemetery full of those who have died in prison.
