DescriptionA large Kashan star tile in the fully developed “Kashan style” painted in brown luster. Inside the calligraphic border, probably of poetry, the tile shows two figures in elaborate robes, surrounded by birds. The blob that fell on the tile has been “transformed” into a bird. The ground of the design is decorated with small spirals, both painted and scratched in reserve.
