DescriptionSmall panel from front of a casket; natural colored linen canvas ground, originally solidly embroidered (now almost all original white background) rotted out; narrow rectangular shape with semicircular space on one long edge probably to fit around lock; design of two scrolling branches with full blown roses and buds worked, with wools in several shades of green and black,and pink (now faded to tan) and white silk, in tent stitch.
