Catalogue Raisonné
Bartsch 014, only state; Bartsch (Marco Dente) 21 (Copy A); Robert-Dumesnil 7 (see Note); Meyer 7 (see Note); IFF (16th cent.) vol. 1, p. 75; Le Blanc 8
DescriptionRobert-Dumesnil and Meyer describe three states of this print: (1) before the retouching by Thomassin; (2) with retouching by Thomassin and the address of Lafreri; (3) with the address of Lafreri replaced by that of Giovanni Giacomo Rossi. This impression has the retouching by Thomassin, but no publisher's address. It seems to be complete at the bottom margin, where the publishers' addresses appear, and thus is an undescribed state between Robert-Dumesnil's and Meyer's i/iii and ii/iii.
