DescriptionFragment of a linen weaving with a brocaded design of a row of three connected lozenges and a parallel row of connected hexagons woven with white silk. Each of the hexagons contains a cross. A band at one side of the fragment shows two female figures carrying a human figure (?). The design of the band is woven with dark blue wool, natural-colored linen and white silk. The frame of the band is of dark blue wool which contains a yellow branch with single leaves on both sides. The scene of the two women probably represents a Christian scene. Design shows Byzantine influence.
