A magical city unlike any other. This city is my city, a city chosen by prophets and saints alike. This city is the gateway to heaven, the stairway taken by Jesus to rise to the heavenly skies. This city is where the Prophet Mohammad ﷺ landed as he flew the skies with his heavenly Buraq.

In her magic, no corner in this city is spared from holy chanting, just as no corner is spared from the consequent bloodshed.
In this artwork, I strip away holy mythologies—factual and fictional—offering my own personal lived experience with my beloved Jerusalem.
