DescriptionTranslation of lyrics from Japanese, by Kuniko and Kendall Brown:
"When will the ship leave, damp in thin fog
Today too at the wharf, the lights are dim,
Shall I visit a cabaret, with flowering lights
After all I’m a sailor, alone in the world?
Burning in a straight line, my heart’s rainbow
Hangs focused on that girl, a night flower,
Even knowing this fact, a forlorn dream
Tied to myself as well, just a drifting bird.
Though the ship’s anchored, the departure bell
Will soon sound, and we too should cry,
Hot tears are, a couple’s lot in life
How can a man, forget?"
