DescriptionRed woolen ground divided into diamonds by curving vines bearing heart-shaped and three-lobed leaves. Each diamond encloses altenately a medallion with an eight-pointed motif and an oval form framed by eight leaves. The design is woven with brown wool. Probably part of a furnishing textile; the design and colors suggest the influence of Byzantine silks.
