DescriptionGround: linen cloth (pieced) to which is sewed silk tapestry border in green, red, black and cream. Design: pairs of confronted birds alternating with medallions. Above is fine line of simple Kufic (.007 high) in black on cream ground. Very finely woven; black partly rotted away. Inscription: undeciphered. See note.
