DescriptionSquare moon shawl (chandar) of cashmere twill tapestry with white ground and design of central medallion composed of dense floral motif and quarter medallions of same patter in each corner; main field is filled with sinuous boteh motifs surrounded by intertwining branches and leaves and smaller botehs; outer guard bands of meandering floral pattern on all four sides; band of white cashmere with small fringe in sewn along two edges.
