DescriptionA square medallion and and L-shaped border woven into linen cloth. Warp of linen; ground of deep blue wool, scrolling design of red wool and linen. An eight-pointed star inside a roundel framed by a rectangle is in the center of the square medallion. Surrounding this central area is a scrolling design similar to that in the L-shaped border. Inside the scrolling design in the border and the square medallion are branch-like motifs. Design shows Byzantine influence.
