DescriptionWall hanging of horizontal bands ranging from beige, light orange, to dark brown with braided ties at each corner. The artist hand spun wool threads from the fleeces of churro sheep raised by family members at their home in Tsé lání (meaning "many rocks") in Navajo Nation. The artist used vegetal dyes, most harvested locally, for many of colors visible in the weft threads. The natural color of the fleece was used for the darkest browns.
The title, Níhootsoí, roughly translates to English, "As the Golden Sun Rays Radiate the Surface of the Earth and the Floras."
