DescriptionLooped linen with a band and a square medallion of tapestry weaving. Ground, linen; design woven with dark blue wool, stained green in places. Design of the band shows a vine scroll inhabited by lions and hares. The design in the medallion shows an equestrian figure with a raised right hand. Design of the band with the square medallion suggests that this is probably a fragmenet of a tunic. Design shows Roman influence. Importation 204.
