DescriptionNatural-colored linen; with a design of a square panel woven in red violet wool. The square encloses roundels which frame another square surrounding an eight-pointed star. An animal, probably a dog or a hare is inside each roundel and an animal, probably a dog woven in blue, is inside a medallion in the centre of the composition. Vine leaves fill the areas between the star and the framing square. Details are formed by a flying shuttle. Interlaced motifs that resemble designs in Greco-roman mosaics fill the eight-pointed star
