DescriptionInserted in each end of a linen towel is a strip of reticella. Borders of small points on the sides and deep ones on the ends. The reticella is exquisite in design and execution. The bands of braid that form the foundation suggest that the workmanship is of later date than the design.
Provenance1907, gift of Mary Frances Farlow (Mrs. George) Linder (b. 1846 - d. 1922), Brookline, MA, to the MFA. (Accession Date: December 11, 1907)
