DescriptionWarp of yellow wool; ground of brown wool; design of natural-colored linen. In the center of the medallion is a mounted horseman with legs and head in profile, and body and arms facing forward. More distinct than the similar figure in 08.386. The wide and narrow borders are joined by four circles in which are animal forms. The areas surrounding the central medallion show units that enclose stylized forms of human figures (?) Similar, and probably the mate of 08.386. Woven originally into a piece of yellow woolen tapestry.
