DescriptionEnsemble comprising ankle-length evening gown and coat:
2009.5096: Sleeveless ankle-length black silk satin evening dress. A square pattern of white spangles representing knots in trompe-l'oeil covers the entire dress. The shoulder straps are covered with white spangles and divide into two on the back. The hem is trimmed with black ostrich and cock feathers, and hand-torn black organza strips. Center back zipper, snaps, and hook and eye closures. Black interior corset and crinoline underskirt. Interior label at center front "2005 HIVER No 48 Martine."
2018.2: Full-length black wool basketweave coat with ostrich feather and shredded black chiffon ruff, cuffs and hem; lining embroidered with white bows made of sequins, matching dress.
