DescriptionThe warp is of white linen; the ground of bright red wool; on this is a bird in profile facing a border line with projecting triangular motifs and a plant (?). Two diagonal bars detailed with irregular forms (rows of birds ?) frame the bird on two sides, and suggest that they are part of the frame of a diamond shaped form. The design shows Byzantine influence; woven with light and dark blue, yellow and green wool, and natural-colored linen.
