DescriptionThe warp is of linen; the ground of deep rose-colored wool; in the center is a circle enclosing two human figures standing on each side of a tree and extending their arms towards it. In each of the four corners of the square is a bird in profile. The design is woven with light and dark blue, red, dark brown, yellow and white wool, and natural-colored linen. Sewed on to a piece of heavy linen. The design shows Byzantine influence.
