DescriptionThe warp is linen; the ground of the main border is natural colored linen; the design of violet wool consists of vases and jars from which grow plants. The outer borders are of violet wool, on which are outlined with natural colored linen a guilloche design. Probably belonged to the same weaving that 09.5838 a-c belonged to. The design shows Roman influence.
