DescriptionPart of a garment. Into a piece of natural colored linen are woven a neck opening band and a square medallion of linen and wool. The design of the neck opening band is of pink, blue, green, yellow and white wool; and consists of semi-circular areas containing fruits, trees and birds. A narrow vertical band woven in pink and green extends from the shoulder area. The design of the square medallion, probably a shoulder decoration, consists of a tree in a central roundel. The design shows Byzantine influence.
