DescriptionDeep golden-brown ground on which are birds, lotus-like flowers and fish (Nilotic motifs) surrounding a bird inside and a plant inside a rectangular medallion. This composition is framed by two borders, the inner is in plain dark brown and the outer in plain red. Pieced. Woven with red, green, light and dark brown and pink wool and natural-colored linen. Pieced. This piece is evidently from the same garment as 11.1425 and 11.1437.
