DescriptionDark red ground on which is a design of two diagonal bands that converge at the top and enclose half of an oblong-shaped motif framing floral forms; the two diagonal bands enclose leaf-like motifs. On the left is a segment of a roundel with octangonal motifs, of red, blue, light and dark green and yellow. The design is probably a segment of a type of composition that consists lozenge-like motifs and medallions. Design shows Byzantine influence.
