DescriptionChair seat of cotton and linen twill (fustian) embroidered with wool (crewelwork); on lower left, rabbit seated on rolling hills in green, yellow, and blue bands with leaves and strawberries; large tree with swirled fruit and pointed leaves on left; large multicolored bird at center standing on small tree or flowering stump; group of three trees on right beneath flowering branch with pink and rose; small yellow butterfly at top center; most of design in New England laid stitch or Roumanian couching with thinner lines in satin and stem/outline stitch; made to go with 19.67 and 19.596-610; cotton weft is vertical and linen warp is horizontal because textile was rotated 90 degrees before embroidering
