DescriptionRed woolen ground woven on a natural linen warp; the design shows floating putti, of which one holds a duck, another carries a plate with fruits and a third holds a hare; part of a fourth putto is at the right end of the fragment; the design is woven with yellow, light and dark brown and light green wool; the upper border shows an undulating line with yellow discs on both sides; and the lower border encloses fish and other water creatures, woven with red, green and yellow wool on a dark brown woolen ground. Design shows Roman influence. Probably a fragment of a collar.
