GRIFFISS AIR FORCE BASE Rome, New York


B-52G STRATOFORTRESS, flown by members of the 75th Bomb Squadron of the 4039th Strategic Wing (SAC) at Griffiss Air Force Base, carries a crew of six. It has a speed of over 600 mph, a ceiling above 50,000 feet and a range beyond 7,500 miles. It has a span of 185', is 157' long and 40'8" high. It is designed to carry, among other weapons, the GAM-77 "HOUND DOG" air-to-surface guided missile.
