CRUISER "WEST VIRGINIA." An armored cruiser, built at Newport News, Va. 502 feet long by 70 feet wide, and displaces 13,680 tons. Speed, 22 knots per hour. Horse-power, 23,000. Cost about $3,885,000. Armed with four 8-inch and fourteen 6-inch guns besides a strong secondary battery. Complement, 41 officers and 791 men.
