GUN DRILL ON OLD MONITOR "NAHANT". The old monitors such as the historic "Nahant", which helped to win victory for the Federal came during the Civil War, were, for the most part, equipped with old-fashioned muzzle-loading guns, so that the handling of these guns was much more dangerous than under present conditions, when we have breech-loading guns and the gunners are protected inside the gun turrets instead of being exposed in the open.
