U.S. NAVY. Battleship "Texas".


BATTLESHIP "TEXAS". Built at the U.S. Navy Yard at Norfolk, Va. Over 300 feet long and 64 feet broad, and displaces upward of 7,000 tons of water. Speed 18 knots per hour. Horse-power, 8,610. Cost, about $2,500,000. Armed with two 12-inch guns and six 6-inch weapons, as well as various rapid-firers. Complement, 30 officers and about 400 men.
