THEODORE ROOSEVELT was born in New York City on Oct. 27, 1858. He was elected Vice-President with President McKinley on the latter's second election, and upon the death of McKinley filled out the term as President. He was re-elected by an overwhelming majority and is the youngest President who has ever served the American nation.
