The Right Hon. Winston Churchill, First Lord of the Admiralty since 1911, and Liberal M.P. (Dundee) since 1908. Was born 30th November, 1874. Entered the Army in 1895. Served with Spanish Forces in Cuba 1895, with Malakand Field Force 1897, Tirah 1898, Nile Expeditionary Force, 1898. Served as Lieutenant S. African Lt. Horse 1899. Newspaper Correspondent 1900 (prisoner in action November 15th, escaped December 12). Author, etc., etc. Conservative Member for Oldham 1900-1906. Colonial Secretary 1906-8. Board of Trade 1908-10. Home Secretary 1910-11.
